Ms Bonnie Yau joined the Administrative Service of the Hong Kong Government in 1996 and served in various bureaux and departments. She has been the Executive Director of the Occupational Safety and Health Council (OSHC) since 2014 and was elected as the Vice-Chair of the "International Section on Prevention in Trade Goods Logistics and Port Handling" of the International Social Security Association in 2019.

Established in 1988 by the Hong Kong Government to enhance occupational safety and health standards, OSHC has flourished under Ms Yau’s leadership. The council has excelled in areas such as promotion, education and training, research, information dissemination, and consultancy services.
