Dr. Lee has more than 35 years' experience in environmental management, research, education and consulting in North America, and Asia-Pacific countries. His experience includes environmental consulting in the San Francisco Bay Area (California) USA; R&D at the Agency for Science Technology and Research (A*Star, Singapore); and academic teaching, management and research at the University of Newcastle (Australia). He is an Associate Professor, Director of the Centre for Sustainable Development, Program Convenor for the Bachelor of Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (BEnvOHS) program, and UNITAR CIFAL Newcastle Fellow. His research, management and technical expertise includes: environmental sustainability; water, wastewater and solid waste management; environmental health; ecological restoration; and assisting industries to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
