Winston Yew obtained his Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 1983. He is currently the Director for Industry Development and Industry Capability Building with the Workplace Safety and Health Council, Singapore.


Winston Yew has about 40 years of experience in policy formulation, standards setting and operations management in the field of workplace safety and health (WSH). He is actively involved with the development and implementation of WSH strategies and programmes in pursuit of the national WSH agenda to inculcate the culture of prevention at all workplaces.


Winston Yew also contributes towards the development of national WSH standards under the purview of Enterprise Singapore as well as the national WSH Professional Skill Framework under SkillsFuture Singapore.


Winston Yew has given numerous talks at various seminars and conferences on WSH in Singapore and abroad. He has also undertaken WSH consultancy services overseas under the auspices of the ILO as well as the Singapore Government’s ASEAN Integration Programme.
